Microsoft Win11/10 free toolset PowerToys will support one-click to end process of occupying files

Everyone may have encountered the occupation prompt when using the Windows system to delete files, showing "the file is in use ", but I don't know what process is occupying the file, so it's a headache.

Recently, a feature called " File Locksmith " has been submitted on the GitHub of Microsoft's Windows 11/10 free toolset PowerToys. As the name suggests, this feature can help unlock files occupied by processes during Windows use. The key clears the occupied process, and the early design is shown in the figure below.

As can be seen from the figure, the user right-clicks a file or folder and selects the "What is occupying this file" option to view the related processes and users. The function is still under discussion, and the UI and function design may be constantly changed.

Microsoft's free suite of system utilities called PowerToys was resurrected from the Windows XP era and introduced to Windows 10 in May 2019. Can be used for advanced users to tune and simplify Windows operations for greater efficiency. By working with the Windows 10/ Windows 11 shell, it allows users to customize individual workflows.
