Microsoft regularly introduces new features for Excel. In an official blog post today, Microsoft reviewed the latest improvements to Excel in November 2022. This blog post is short and focuses on reviewing some noteworthy features introduced in November.
The web version of Excel introduces a feature called Chart Data Foils, which is used to create visual indicators of the source range of chart cells. This range can easily be modified by clicking on a range of cells and dragging across it.
The updates for Excel for Windows and Mac are identical. Two new features in the November update include Show Changes and Office Scripts. Show Changes can display the editing records of the workbook and support restoration to the previous state; while Office Scripts are used to automate repetitive tasks and are currently open to all Excel users.
In the November update, the Office app on Excel got a Fluent Design makeover, giving the command bar and ribbon palette a more modern look.
