Just hours after the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Activision has announced that four maps are being pulled from rotation due to spawn issues.
The maps in question are Quarry, Rundown, Scrapyard, and Karachi. These maps have been removed from the Hardpoint and Cutthroast playlists, respectively.
Activision has stated that they are investigating the issue and will re-add the maps to the rotation once it has been resolved.
This is not the first time that spawn issues have plagued a Call of Duty game. In 2019, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was also criticized for its spawn system.
It is unclear how long the maps will be out of rotation. However, Activision has stated that they are working on a fix and will re-add the maps as soon as possible.
In the meantime, players can still enjoy the other 12 maps that are available in Modern Warfare 3.
Media has reached out to both Activision and Sledgehammer Games for comment on the spawn point issues in Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer maps. So far, all requests have gone unanswered.
We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
