Beijing Hyundai: By 2025, fuel vehicles will be fully hybridized

Beijing Hyundai released the 2025 New Plan on November 5, aiming to achieve an annual sales target of more than 500,000 vehicles in 2025.


Beijing Hyundai said that Hyundai Motor is ushering in a new round of development in the global market. In the first half of this year, Hyundai Motor Group sold 3.299 million vehicles, ranking third globally. At present, Hyundai Motor has mastered technologies such as electric power, hydrogen energy, and intelligent driving, and has maintained rapid growth in the global new energy market. According to reports, BAIC Group and Hyundai Motor Group reached a series of cooperation consensus, and jointly invested 6 billion yuan, and at the same time promised to provide all the talents and technical support needed for the future development of Beijing Hyundai.


Product system construction: Beijing Hyundai stated that it will accelerate the introduction of new products and top technologies of Hyundai Group, realize full hybridization of all fuel vehicles by 2025, and introduce new pure electric brands and new models. The new products of the whole series are equipped with OTA technology to realize the intelligence of the whole series of products.

Product matrix: Beijing Hyundai will build a hybrid product matrix of one MPV model, two sedans, and three SUV models. Beijing Hyundai stated that the focus of the product system will gradually shift from fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles, and the 48V mild hybrid and full hybrid will be fully applied to its sedans and SUVs. At the same time, through the introduction of Hyundai Motor's new generation of TMED hybrid technology, the fuel consumption of different products can be reduced by 15%-20%. At present, the Tucson L Hybrid has applied this technology. In addition, it is also equipped with Hyundai Motor. The world's first ASC active transmission control technology.


Electric field: Hyundai Motor has a pure electric platform E-GMP, which enables flexible product development across models and levels. Based on this platform, Beijing Hyundai will launch an exclusive EV model in 2023. In the next 2-3 years, it will introduce 4-5 pure electric models, and strive to achieve an annual sales volume of 200,000 electric vehicle products.


Based on the development of remote download OTA technology, Hyundai Motor announced a development strategy to convert all models to software-centric vehicles by 2025. Beijing Hyundai will also start from the second half of 2023, and all newly listed products will be equipped with OTA technology, and by 2025, all products will be OTA.
